2000 AD

2000 AD 2000 AD is a high concept action thriller set at the turn of the next century. It is a new breed of action movies from Asia incorporating computer-generated effects and death-defying stunts. The Y2K Bug provides the impetus to the story that follows the investigation of a young man into his brother's mysterious death.

Directed by award-winning Hong Kong director, Gordon Chan, 2000 AD will not only have fast-paced action sequences but the plot will be driven by strong characters. Chan, winner of Best Director at 1999 Hong Kong Film Awards for BEAST COPS has also worked with superstars Jackie Chan and Jet Li in THUNDERBOLT and FIST OF LEGEND respectively.

Hong Kong heavenly king, Aaron Kwok leads the main cast. Star of STORMRIDERS and the Asian spokesperson for Pepsi, Aaron will play the leading role. Other members of the main cast include Hong Kong teen idol Daniel Wu, Singapore stars Phyllis Quek and James Lye. The movie also has veteran actors like Ray Lui, Francis Ng and Kenneth Low in supporting roles.

This US$5 million action thriller is shot both in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Synopsis
The Y2K Bug. Real Warfare vs Electronic Gaming. Aaron Kwok plays Peter Tong, a carefree Hong Kong youngster who finds himself drawn into the web of a deadly espionage conspiracy. A clandestine organization schemes to use the Y2K Bug to cause mayhem throughout Asia. To survive, Peter has to call on reserves of courage and stamina he has never needed before.
